The FRC programme is Ireland's largest family support programme delivering universal services to families in disadvantaged areas across the country based on a life cycle approach.

The aim of the programme is to combat disadvantage and improve the functioning of the family unit. Each works autonomously – working inclusively with individuals, families, communities and statutory and non-statutory agencies.

FRC’s are an integral part of the Local Area Pathways. They provide a wide variety of community supports and programmes in response to the unique needs of their catchment area. This may include education, training, group work, provision of support and information, referrals etc. While the services and supports provided by individual FRC’s may vary, common to all of them is the aim of bringing about positive change in the community by drawing local people together to identify responses to local issues. There are five FRC’s in Wexford.

Target Age Groups The centre works with individuals and families offering a range of family supports. The centre does not provide direct services i.e. crèche / youth work to children under 18 years of age. The centre does not cater for children other than family access visits, however children attend the centre with their parents.
