The background to the Child Health Services is based on “Best Health for Children – Developing a Partnership with Families” (1999). The key outcomes of this strategy are;

That all children have the opportunity to realise their full potential

That remediable disorders are identified at the earliest possible date

The Roma Community Inclusion programme is one of FDYS's social inclusion programmes and is formed by 5 projects;

The aim of the Wexford Roma Health Advocacy Project is to;

Sports Active Wexford is the Local Sports Partnership established by the Irish Sports Council and housed within the County Development Board structure in Wexford. The key aim of the Sports Active Wexford is to increase participation in sport and to ensure that local resources are used to best effect.

The Collective Sensory Group was established in 2015 as a non profit voluntary led group, based in Wexford Town. 

The THU administers HSE Section 39 funding to 14 Traveller Health Projects in the region. The aim of the Traveller Health Projects in the region is to provide Health Awareness Education, support to access services and promote and encourage healthier lifestyles among Travellers.

The purpose of Wexford General Hospital is to provide a high quality acute hospital service to enable the people we serve to live healthier and more fulfilled lives.

Target Age Group 18 years +

Eligibility Criteria Mild to moderate intellectual disability.

Referrals Referrals usually received through Liaison Nurse, Special Needs School, Guidance Officer, HSE.
