Voluntary Disability Support Service.
Target Age Group 18 years +
Eligibility Criteria Mild to moderate intellectual disability.
Referrals Referrals usually received through Liaison Nurse, Special Needs School, Guidance Officer, HSE.
Youthreach is the principal national response to the difficulties faced by young people who have left school early. The Youthreach Programme aims to provide early school leavers (16-20 years) with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to participate fully in society and progress to further education, training and employment.
This programme is funded by SOLAS to provide accredited and non-accredited education and training for early school leaving age.
