Supporting Young Children with Down Syndrome "Parenting Today" Wexford Library

Eimear is the National Early Intervention Officer with Down Syndrome Ireland.  She works with families to support them and their children throughout the early years, up to and including the transition to primary school.

Topics covered at this event include;

  • The learning profile if young people with Down Syndrome, including practical strategies, tools and resources that address their common learning strengths and needs.
  • Supports available in childcare services (funding programmes, Access and Inclusion Model - AIM).
  • Supporting the transition from preschool to primary school.
