Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual Health Awareness Training - HSE

The Rainbow Report in the South East in 2015 and the LGBTI Ireland Report in 2016, both identified the lack of awareness and understanding of health professionals and health service providers of the health care needs of LGBTI people.  In both reports, LGBTI communities described negative experiences of healthcare.

The LGBTI Steering Group in the SECH led by HSE's Social Inclusion Department has developed a Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual Health Awareness Training.

The aim of this half-day workshop is to raise awarness around sexual diversity and explore some societal and individual attitudes and to consider some of the health issues for this community.
