This course is provided by the Institute of Technology, Carlow, Wexford Campus. It is aimed at Supervisors who have taken B.A. in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care) students on placement. The three day course is certified as a Special Purpose Award Level 7 from I.T Carlow, for B.A Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care). There are four small assignments which reflect on the role of the supervisor and the process of supervision. These are linked to the seminar days. A light lunch and refreshemtns will be provided free of charge. In light of your support for our students, we are waiving the fee for the course.
Dates : Attendance at all three days is essential. Day 1 : September 7th 2018 9.30am - 4.30pm / Day 2 : October 12th 2018 9.30am - 4.30pm / Day 3 : January 11th 2019 9.30am - 4.30pm
To ensure that effective work can be completed during the seminars, participation will be limited to 20 candidates. For those who do not achieve a place this year, it is oped to offer the course in subsequent years.
