A Guide to Speech in Early Childhood - Wexford Library

This talk is part of "Parenting Today" - a series of parenting talks, workshops and panel discussions that were organised by Wexford County Council Public Library Service and Wexford Children & Young Peoples Services Committee (CYPSC).

Speaker : Mary Teresa Kervick, Senior Speech & Language Therapist.

This talk will enable parents to assist their children develop their early attention, play and communication skills.  It will look at methods to help young children build their communication ability and advise on delayed communication.

Mary qualified with a BSc Hons in Speech and Language Therapy from UUJ.  She spent a number of years working in disability services in both voluntary organisations and the HSE in counties Wicklow, Dublin, Meath, Carlow, Kilkenny and now community services in Wexford.  Her caseload is children covering primary care and school aged disability including Our Lady of Fatima School.
