Cyber Safety for Parents - New Ross Library

Join I.T experts, Niamh and Frank to discover how to guide your children and teenagers in teh safe and responsible use of information and communication technology.  Discover what you need to teach them in order to keep their information safe and secure and help them learn how to respoect other peropls informaiton.

You will cover;

  • Social Media Apps and sites that children are using, what parents should know and what to look out for.
  • You Tube and on-line gaming such as Roblox and poki,com - are they suitable for children and what age is appropriate?
  • Popular gaming scenarios like Paystation Network and Xbox Live. 
  • Security when shopping online.

There will be time for questions and answers, during which the controlling and monitoring of internet usage will be discussed as well as discussing ways to control what your children are using and viewing online.
