In this presentation, Dr. Mary O'Kane gives parents some practical advice on how to support children's self-esteem, confidence and resilience.
Mary is a Lecturer in Psychology and Early Childhood Education. She has worked as the parenting and childcare expert on the Anton Savage and Alison Curtis shows on Today FM, answering parenting queries from listeners. She has a monthly parenting slot on Ireland A.M.
This is also the opening presentation in the joint Public Library / CYPSC "Parenting Today" Series of Talks for 2019. It will be preceded by a short launch ceremony.
